The legendary Volkswagen GTI is back in 2022 with the all-new MK8 chassis and our engineers couldn’t wait to get their hands on one. The GTI continues to come equipped with a L4-2.0L turbo engine that feels impressive straight from the factory, but our team knew that you’d be looking for more power and efficiency almost immediately. Deep into our R&D lab that little GTI went so our team could extract the hidden power potential and what we’ve come up is nothing short of amazing.

As an option for your intake system, you can choice between either one of our free-flowing air filter options. Our Blue SuperNano-Web dry air filter is tailored more for the street driver that is also a weekend warrior. Simple to clean and maintain, this is the standard option with our intake systems. If you plan to off-road more often and hit fine silt, we recommend you use our Red 8-layer oiled cotton gauze filter. No matter which filter you choose, there is no price difference for either system.

The SP series of cold air intakes is Injen’s flagship system in their lines of traditional aluminum cold air intake systems. It provides an intake growl that will surely excite your senses as you open up that turbo 2.0L and let that turbo spool. The soul of this intake is found within 6061-T6 aluminum air intake tube that provides a smooth uninterrupted path for highly efficient airflow. Our engineers have painstakingly designed the intake to provide the highest levels of safe power, along with clean aesthetics that will impress every time you open your hood. In addition to the impressive power increase, the Injen team has ensured that a safe Air fuel (A/F) ratio has been maintained throughout the power band.

The EVO8008 air induction system utilizes Injen’s proprietary SuperNano-Web dry air filter, while our EVO8008C is sold with our 8-layer oiled cotton gauze filter. Every Evolution induction systems utilize some of the largest filters on the market, employing super deep filter pleats, with some measuring over 1.25″deep! This particular intake kit also features our patented Twist-Lock mounting system on the air filter to ensure a simple installation. The EVO8008 cold air intake system was designed to use the maximum space available under the hood to ensure optimum breathing room and extreme performance, along with pulling fresh, clean air from the OE ram air scoop.
