The 1998 – 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series has a compact torsion bar IFS front suspension, and requires a lot of work to be done in a small space. When lift is added via torsion bar adjustment there is even more spring energy that must be absorbed to adequately control the vehicle. Keeping this in mind, those looking to achieve 0-3″ of lift (aftermarket upper control required) can install the Stage 2 shock system for maximum suspension travel and performance. ICON engineers have developed a unique 2.5 diameter shock system, with remote reservoirs front and rear, that can handle these demands. 2.5″ reservoir shocks front and rear ensure optimum performance by increasing the duration of consistent damping regardless of situation, keeping the shocks at a cooler operating temperature during extended off-road use. With a lower spherical rod end bearing and heavy-duty upper stem bushings, deflection is kept to a minimum for precise control of the suspension even under high loads.

Through an accelerated testing process dubbed the ICON1K R&D program, ICON has spent over a year pushing the Tundra to off-road extremes to identify limiting factors in OE components and further extrapolate performance out of this vehicle. In a push to provide unparalleled ride quality and vehicle dynamics for everything from high-speed desert running to off the grid expedition, the RXT Rear Suspension System was born. The RXT Rear Suspension System is a combination of an all new ICON multi-rate leaf spring, a hydraulic rear bump stop kit, and three RXT-specific 2.5 Series rear shock options. Installation of this system replaces the aforementioned limiting factors and completely redefines the potential of the 2007-2017 Toyota Tundra with a 20% increase in wheel travel and the ability to adjust the leaf spring rate to compensate for varying vehicle setups.
