KW

For over 20 years, KW automotive has been the market leader and driving innovation as a manufacturer of individual suspension solutions for the road and in all types of motorsports. No matter where in the world, gearheads, automobile manufacturers and reputable tuners rely on our KW coilovers “Made in Germany”. Every KW coilover kit undergoes extensive stress testing before production and is developed and manufactured exclusively in our company headquarters in Fichtenberg, a small in town in Germany, to meet the high standards of our KW quality management. For us as a German manufacturer, it goes without saying that our KW coilover kits will exceed the original equipment manufacturer quality and offer useful and innovative solutions. With an application list comprising more than 4,600 options KW guarantees an outstanding selection backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Cutting-edge motorsports technology for more performance on the road. Like every suspension product developed by KW automotive, the suspension manufacturer, and manufactured in Germany, the KW V3 Coilover suspension kit also provides a significant plus in safety reserves in road traffic. Thanks to the chassis with its high-quality dampers, springs, and elastomer spring elements, pitching and rolling movements during load changes such as evasive maneuvers, cornering, acceleration, and braking are significantly reduced. The braking distances are also shortened. Thanks to improved support and feedback, drivers not only feel safer but driving in everyday life becomes even safer. With compression and rebound stage damping, that can be set separately and independently of each other, the damper setup can be customized to your personal driving preferences or vehicle changes such as weight, tire characteristics, or altered vehicle rigidity. True performance optimization is only possible with this unique, patented system. For example, this allows the compression damping force to be increased and get more grip from the tires, to improve cornering behavior and reduce squat without simultaneously altering the rebound stage damping which is optimally matched to the spring rate, a scenario which results in reduced grip and the associated loss of performance. The KW V3 coilover kit is the ideal tool for performance-oriented drivers and experienced tuning enthusiasts who place a strong emphasis on the overall performance of their suspension. The Variant 3 features patented TVR-A and TVC-A technology that provides separately adjustable rebound and compression damping. The extensive adjustment range of the independently configurable rebound and compression make it easy to directly influence the steering behavior, directional stability, grip and handling characteristics for confident and repeatable results at the limit of driving dynamics.

Today, more and more premium vehicles are being fitted with an electronically adaptive suspension system. Before KW DDC Plug & Play coilovers were introduced to the market, you often had to make compromises when customizing your suspension lowering, and often had to eliminate the active electronic control system and comfort features that you had paid extra for. With the adaptive KW DDC Plug & Play coilover suspensions there are no compromises to be made and you can combine the control of your standard damper system with a seamless suspension lowering and the driving dynamics tuned by KW suspensions experienced engineers. During installation, the factory electronic struts are simply replaced by KW INOX-LINE stainless steel coilover struts and the adaptive KW dampers are connected to the on-board electronics using your vehicles original plugs. Fitting a KW DDC Plug & Play coilover suspension requires no further modifications. The standard dampers can simply be replaced with the KW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) coilover kit. The existing controls and the button installed in the vehicle interior for the operation of the damper control will now operate the KW DDC Plug & Play coilovers. For the first time, the KW DDC Plug & Play coilover kit combines the advantages of a KW coilover suspension with the convenience of the standard electronic damper controls. At the push of a button, the driver can choose between the Comfort, Normal and Sport setup optimized for the KW coilover suspension. In addition, the KW coilover suspension allows individual ride height adjustability within the tested Adjustment -angle. Our original equipment quality suspension technology -s compatible with various vehicle manufacturers. As a result, the adaptive KW DDC suspension is instantly recognized by the on-board electronics. So all the displays and controls of your factory vehicle remain fully functional but you get a completely new driving experience.

The KW V1 INOX-LINE coilover kit is our entry point into our street performance lineup. The high-quality INOX-LINE stainless steel coilover struts, corrosion resistant springs, bumps stops and dampers that are optimally tuned by our engineers the result is a balanced and sporty feel specific to each vehicle application designed for long lasting driving pleasure. With KW V1 coilovers you can achieve maximum lowering within an approved lowering range that ensures a proper functioning suspension and adequate travel after your car is lowered. Even after years of use you can easily adjust the ride height thanks to the dirt resistant trapezoid thread and composite adjustment collar. KW INOX-LINE coilover rewards the sporty driver with its harmonious pre-configured setup. For each vehicle our engineers develop a specific damper setup and spring rate to increase the driving pleasure with an optimal balance of sportiness and practicality. As with all KW coilovers, the engineers at KW develop the vehicle-specific KW damper tuning and spring rates with comprehensive testing on the Nurburgring Nordschleife and in the KW 7-post chassis dynamics test center. Unlike a mass produced, generic coilover kit, KW coilovers are developed specifically for your vehicle. As a manufacturer, KW uses only its own resources, high quality components and the damper technology that was all developed in-house. With the KW V1 coilovers, body roll will be reduced during compression giving you the benefit of a more genuine and direct sporty handling while driving.
